QuantSpirit is a website/blog that lives its name. Quant (quantitative financial analyst) + Spirit equals to gaining Quantitative spirit by generating, collecting ideas, thinking about these ideas and putting them into work.

I am Goran a master student of Quantitative Finance in Vienna, Austria and a person behind QuantSpirit. I have finished my bachelor degree in Mathematics in Osijek, Croatia and during the last year of studies I got very interested in financial markets especially in asset trading and investing in general.

As I am still a learner, this blog is used to make my thoughts, ideas and implementation of them public. Furthermore, I am concentrated mostly on my learning path in developing trading strategies, backtesting and implementing them in Python therefore I will write about all things that comes along that way.

Besides that, to support my financial expenses I have started freelancing career on a few online freelancing services thus you can expect something related to Python, Matlab, Excel, etc.
